Are Areca, Pakku, and Adike the same crop?
Yes. Areca is the English/botanical name (Areca catechu), Pakku is the Tamil name, and Adike (or Adakka) is the Kannada name for the same palm and its nut. This site uses all three names so growers searching in any of these terms find the same information.
How often are KITE Agro's Areca rates updated?
Weekly. Each week shows a price range (minimum to maximum per kg) rather than a single daily figure, alongside a comparison against last week and — once enough history builds up — the same week last year.
What are the four price stages tracked for Areca?
Raw Green Fruit (unripe, just harvested), Ripe Yellow Fruit (fully ripened), Sun-Dried Ripe Fruit (dried before dehusking), and Arecanut / Nut (also called Chali — the final dehusked, dried kernel that is traded).
Is drone imaging for Areca farms available yet?
Yes. Areca Drone Survey (surveying your own plantation, pricing from ₹3,999) and Areca Farm Lease Inspection (evaluating a farm before a lease advance) are both available now — aerial view, approximate tree count, gap detection and visual stress screening. Disease/pest hotspot detection and precision dosage recommendation are still in development, building on today's visual stress screening — so treatment can eventually go only where it's actually needed instead of a flat rate across the whole field.
What makes KITE Agro's manure different from regular organic manure?
It's enriched specifically for Areca palms' nutrient demands at each life stage — potassium and magnesium-forward blends for bunch development, and micronutrients aimed at resisting Yellow Leaf Disease and root stress — rather than a generic, flat-rate manure.
How many Areca palms fit in one acre?
It depends on spacing. At the common standard of 2.7m × 2.7m, roughly 540–560 palms fit per acre; high-density spacing (2.4m × 2.4m) fits more, wider spacing (3.0m × 3.0m) fits fewer. Use the free Tree Spacing & Count Calculator to get an exact count for your own field dimensions.
